About Me

CURRENT MISSION

We are a couple traveling Australia and South-East-Asia

ABOUT ME

Well i try to live my day and see what happens. I am relaxed and laid back and I like to take care of everything. I love to be outside when the sun is out and inside when its raining ;)

Philip is that kind of person who always thinks a lot about everything (perhaps more than he has to). He likes to read books and listens to a lot of music. He also loves to talk to people about the books he read, the movies he has seen etc. What he loves is a good conversation about anything from politics to tech-stuff. He is a good listener. Growing up in southern Germany he drank a lot of beer but right now he is more into wine. He actually can recharge his batteries by going out and dancing the whole night through.

PHILOSOPHY

Perhaps we can boil it down to this: Living in joy and not at the cost of anyone or anything at any time. This includes all fellow human beings, animals, nature the planet and it's resources as well as future generations. I know, this sounds really 68-hippie-like :) I guess it is about living in harmony and for me it is the true meaning of sustainability.

Now looking at our current society and the way the economy works, this almost seems like a utopia. But perhaps it is still possible to hold on to this principle while still staying connected to the society. I guess it is about finding a healthy, personal balance between consistency and compromise at all the small and big decisions we make every day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now we are traveling through Australia, South-East-Asia and New Zealand and are looking for lots of new people to meet along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had so many beautiful experiences with hosts all along the Australian east coast. We are planning to host when we are back in Europe in 2014

Interests

most of all I like to travel but sometimes I just walk around and enjoy being in a different country. Meet my friends and relax in the sun:-D
Some months ago we started watching Big Bang Theory together and we still lough our ass off all the time.

Philip started running some years ago and got me into it, too. Music plays a big role in his life and he is always happy to discover new kinds of music or sharing it with people. He is also totally into all the tech-stuff and when something with my PC isn't working he can probably fix it.

Camping and hiking on magnificent beaches and in the middle of rainforests along the Australian east coast.

Teach, Learn, Share

We both like to cook and can teach some recipes. We'd also love to learn some new ones!
Also, Philip is a real geek. If you have any trouble with your laptop, computer, phone etc. he can probably fix it or give you some good advice.
He would like to learn how to play the piano. He did it a couple of years as a child but forgot almost everything.
