About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Scuba diving in Thailand and finding a way back to Europe after 4 years of travelling!

ABOUT ME

"She might be crazy, but not dangerous" is what my friends would probably say about me. You can become my friend and find out :)

I'm energetic and love to try everything new to me because who knows, it could be my new favorite dish/ hobby/occupation/whatever. From me first mentioning "dish" you can tell that I love food. A new dish from another country made with love and I'll be happy!

I enjoy meeting people from all over the world. Don't be shy if we don't have a common language, we'll find a way to communicate.

PHILOSOPHY

Hm....this is a hard one.
At the moment, I'm trying not to miss any opportunity because the next one might not present itself all too soon. Also, more love and understanding in the world would be nice, so why not start myself? If you sit there, crying alone on a park bench, I'll walk up to you and ask what's wrong. This is the person I'm trying to be :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As soon as I live in some sort of proper dwelling, I'll host. Could be a while, though. Until then, I participate as a surfer, try to be adventurous and then tell these adventures as stories to my hosts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sadly, I've never hosted anyone myself, because I was living in a student house first and now I'm a travelling bum. But I've been hosted lots of times and met a bunch of really nice people!

Interests

Travelling, hitchhiking, video games, the Japanese culture, good food;
Ukulele playing, but I never practise....

Meeting new people with new kinds of humour, who I can relate to. Gamers from all around the world, people who share their stories with me - one of the best ways to learn and see more opportunities!

Hitchhiking and meeting fellow hitchhiker to share stories with.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like good horror movies and rather dislike most of that weird love comedy genre. But I'm open to new things, so if you know good movies, books and music, I'll be happy to try!
As for books, I like reading about real-life experiences people made on the one hand, but also like to dive into a fantasy world. I've also been a huge fan of japanese mangas for over 15 years now.

At the moment - GAME OF THRONES!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The experience of people´s friendliness towards me, while standing at the side of the road with a sign telling my destination. Got invited to their houses when it got too late, some people who couldn't give me a lift just handed me some chocolate - wow :)

Enjoying the feeling of just being free while travelling Australia - running downhill to chase wallabies out of the grass, a snake on its way to our shower, having dirty feet due to walking barefoot all the time - and being thrilled about that! Seeing whales surface about 10 meters from our boat - WOAH!

I was allowed to feel the omnipresent feeling of love and community during an Australian rainbow gathering. Great energy!

Teach, Learn, Share

I´d like to learn more languages and much about other cultures in the world. Recently, I bought a ukulele, so if you can show me a few things, that'd be greatly appreciated.
What do I have to share? Maybe some stories about hitchhiking and living a turbulent life in general^^
I really like to bake cakes, maybe we could share a mutual interest for sweets? I can show you how to make a certain kind of necklace out of strings.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can definitely share my stories, cook a meal, teach you how to make macrame jewellery (or just make something for you if you feel lazy ;D), teach you rude words in Khmer or German, practice poi (very entertaining, since I tend to whack myself in the face with the tennis balls a lot)...
