About Me

Having grown up with two different cultures and backgrounds has molded me into the person I am today. I was born in Fairfax, Virginia where I have lived my entire life until I decided to pursue my bachelors degree in Advertising at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. With half of my family living overseas in Casablanca, Morocco, it has taught me the value of travel, service and different ways to communicate ideas. I studied abroad in Lausanne, Switzerland for my sophomore academic year to fulfill my goals of traveling the world, serving and discovering new ways to communicate.

I am someone who is highly ambitious and am constantly looking for new opportunities to grow and broaden my horizons. The best way I fulfill this is through traveling the world. Four words that describe me are dedicated, driven, imaginative, and adventurous.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am Couchsurfing because I want to become apart of a community that shares common goals of mine: to travel the world, learn new perspectives and cultures, and develop life long relationships regardless of our differences and backgrounds. I want to be able to share authentic, cultural experiences with locals of new places, rather than getting sucked into the notion of having to buy expensive accommodations to travel the world.

I am living with my uncle in Ventura, California at the moment so I am unable to host guests, but once I am in more of a permanent situation I will be able to do so. I'd love to meet up though!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Since my mom was born and raised in Casablanca, Morocco, and did not move to the states until she was almost thirty years old, I have had the privilege to travel there five separate times so far. With almost half of her family still living in Casablanca, and having spent extensive time there, one of the more amazing experiences I have had is road tripping from Casablanca to Marrakesh. This is about a three hour drive through a desert wasteland. The Moroccan country side is a site to see, noticing homes made of adobe with no electricity, just simplistic living.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to be able to compare and contrast my travel experiences with others. To be able to reflect, share, and learn about new opportunities and cultures.
