About Me
I'm a writer/designer/digital media strategist in the political world, (I worked on the Obama and Hillary campaigns) which sort of means I get paid to do "the internet."
We live in a crazy world. If you voted for Trump, you can stop here.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Blues, Metal, Rock, Alternative, Folk, and some hipster favorites like Neon Indian and Bon Iver too. Anything from the Beatles to Metallica, and plenty of underground metal and rap for good measure. I'm not picky, and generally can get down to anything. Bonus points if you enjoy ridiculous guitar solos.
Books: Brave New World, 1984, Grapes of Wrath, Kurt Vonnegut, thrillers from any author (have a soft spot for Dean Koontz -- don't judge), and anything exploring the world around us and how we consume it. I read a ton of heady philosophy and history back in the day, but find myself lucky to be scanning the headlines these days.
Movies: Love it all, from Kubrick to Michael Bay, District 9 to The Artist.
Shows: The Office, Parks and Rec, Dexter, Friday Night Lights, House of Cards, Weeds, Homeland, and a Love/Hate relationship with Law & Order SVU.

Not sure what to put here? I can teach and learn a lot, though certainly more to learn than to teach.
