Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the best ways to have a great travel experience is to have a chat with locals.
I love meeting tourists in my own country and more often than not offer them tours, so when abroad I love interacting with local people. Couchsurfing is a wonderful concept that allows you to dive into a culture.
I've lived outside Georgia for 12 years.

Books - Donna Tartt, Sylvia Plath, Haruki Murakami, Fyodor Dostoevsky, J.K. Rowling, Harper Lee, Yuval Noah Harari. My ultimate favourite book series has been Harry Potter since I was about 10 years old, it has a special place in my heart. If you love HP, chances are we'll get along.
Movies - I love cinema. I watch pretty much everything from Disney and Marvel movies to heavy Drama, as long as a movie was either a) well received by the general audience, b) critically acclaimed or c) has a director/lead actors that I'm fond of. Some of my favourites are: Interstellar, Inception (but also pretty much every movie directed by Nolan), Moonrise Kingdom, Manchester by the Sea, Fight Club, La La Land, Babel, Forrest Gump, Dallas Buyers Club, Room, Birdman, Florida Project, Bladerunner, Casablanca, Eighth Grade, Shutter Island, Sing Street, Lost in Translation, Nightcrawler, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
TV Shows: Atlanta, Breaking Bad, Stranger Things, Sherlock, Friends, The Crown, Marvelous Mrs Maisel.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell you a lot about my country, Georgia and if you are ever in Tbilisi, would love to show you around!
Since Georgians invented wine making sometime in the 6th millennium BC and wine-making in Georgia has been recognized by UNESCO on the Intangible cultural heritage list, I always try to bring some Georgian wine with me ;)
