ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Sally. I'm a Spanish to English Translator (meaning I translate texts) and I live in Colorado.
I grew up in Boulder, Colorado. I love it here - the people, the mountains and the adventurous spirit. When I was in fifth grade, 10 years old, I went on an exchange program to Australia. For three weeks I lived with an Australian family. It was an incredible experience! It was my first time out of the country. It made me realize that there is a whole world out there full of kind, exciting, and interesting people. Ever since then, I've wanted to explore the world. From 6th grade on I studied spanish, and it was always my favorite subject. The summer after 7th grade I went on a trip to Spain with students from my spanish class. I fell in LOVE. What a country. I love so many things about it. And thats probably why I ended up in Madrid for college. With a whole world full of universities, I just couldn't imagine staying in the States for my education.
I usually come off as a pretty quiet person, but that doesn't mean I'm shy! I love meeting people. In fact, some of the greatest experiences I have ever had were ones that I went into not knowing anyone. For example: in the summer of 2007 I came to Salamanca, Spain to study Spanish by myself. Also, I came to my university in Madrid not knowing a single soul who would be here. Both times, I made so many good friends. I would say that these experiences have given me a little faith in humanity and given me the desire to expand my world. After four years abroad, I have now moved back to the States and am studying translation.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in deciding to be happy. And smiling.
