Overview
About Me
I'm leaving Tokyo mid March so I am unable to host past February.
CURRENT MISSION
Remembering to take the time to appreciate and capture the everyday experiences. Oh, and dance...everywhere....all the time.
ABOUT ME
I am a Dominican American currently living in Kita, Tokyo, Japan. I am an English teacher and work during the day (and some nights) but I would be available to show you around on the weekends.
You'll always see me sporting my two favorite things: my camera and a smile. The camera I use to capture the beauty of the world around me, to remind me that even the every day tasks are worth remembering (not just the grand adventures), and to please the inner tourist inside. The smile because it is next to impossible for me to keep a straight face. Life is too short to not be incandescently happy.
Feel free to read about my adventures at www.adventuresofsaltysally.com

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been on this site for years but I have surfed and hosted a few times. I've had some good experiences and met interesting people.
Interests
My interests are varied and constantly changing. I love trying new things, and I'm always up for new adventures! As of right now I spend most of my free time doing yoga, reading, hiking, dancing, cooking and trying new foods, and watching anime to practice my Japanese.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I listen to anything and everything.
Books - I love reading but my favorite books are Gone with the Wind, Pride & Prejudice, and the Harry Potter Series
Movies - I love movies, except the horror genre.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Four years ago I walked 900 km across Spain as part of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. I can't even begin to describe what a beautiful experience that was.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to dance (although I think my teaching skills might be lacking). I'd be happy to practice Spanish, French, or English with you. I love cooking and learning/trying new recipes. I would love to practice my Japanese if you want to do a language exchange!
I think everyone has something worth sharing/teaching and I look forward to discover what your talent is.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share my Dominican culture with you.
