I'm back on the road again, this time with a travel companion, and we're heading to Portland!

I love exploring new places, meeting new people and hearing of their experiences, learning, being surrounded by the city, being immersed in nature and dancing through it all!

I'm friendly, positive, open minded, easy going, and keen to connect and make the most of this precious life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet new people, swap stories, to learn about other countries and cultures and share mine, to have new experiences and see new places from the insider perspective only a local can provide, and to relish in that as different as we are, we're all the same :)

Interests

Dancing, particularly swing dancing/Lindy Hop, but I'll happily bust a move on just about any dance floor!
I love to DIY, garden, cook tasty vegan meals, travel, go on adventures, start the day with strong black coffee and some yoga and meditation :) peruse around markets, try new foods, chat with people at community events. Head out into nature to grow food, camp, hike, and commune with the world outside of the city. Beaches, mountains, trees, canyons, rivers feed my soul! Dance to live music, tread lightly on the planet, and try for lighter, and lighter. Listen to other people's stories and passions, and share mine; connecting, laughing, commiserating, feeding each other's souls with sunshine, wholesome food, and a desire to get out and exploring and experience this amazing world!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch much tv or movies as I tend to be busy doing other things. That said, there's certainly the odd day/night that calls for nothing more than nesting on the couch :) my favourite movies are the Before Sunrise series.
I love a huge variety of music, anything from soul, swing, jazz, indie/alternative, rock, folk, hip hop, electronic etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wowza, its super hard to pick a single one. umm...I climbed to the base camp of the highest volcano in Guatemala by day, and under the shroud of darkness, in the biting cold, climbed to the summit, to witness one of the most amazing sunrises of my life.

Sharing is the best!
I can teach you some swing dance basics, help you practice your English, cook you a super tasty vegan meal, share a yoga practice or a chai.
