To travel a bit through Asia and Europe and make it back to Australia by Christmas.

ABOUT ME

I was a student, although I took quite a bit of time off for travels - both long and short trips as well as 6 months "studying" in Indonesia. A few years ago whilst travelling I met my partner in Siberia and brought him back to Australia with me. Having finished studying, we were off again and working in Taiwan for a few years. It's almost time to head back home, but there's room for a few more adventures before that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first joined Couch Surfing whilst trying to find accomodation in out of the way Russian towns. Whilst in the end I didn't end up staying with anyone, the people I corresponded with were all quite friendly and helpful. I finally have a couch to offer aand I am willing to meet up with people and show them around my city, or just give them tips on where to go and what to look out for. Living in Taiwan we've had a few people stay with us, it's interesting to hear what travellers think of Taiwan.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've only really couchsurfed with others through this site a few times, but we've been lucky enough to host quite a few living in Taiwan. There's no much in the way of a backpacker scene in our city, so couchsurfing is one of the few options that guarantee meeting people here and getting tips on the city.

Interests

My main interest would have to be travel, but I also enjoy languages and food which are part of this experience. Photography is another interest. When I'm home I like going to the beach, the movies, the pub, or just catching up with friends in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies, music and books, although probably too many to list. Usually I just listen to the radio though, which is good to do whilst reading a book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done and seen quite a few pretty amazing things, although I think from experiencing so many different things it becomes harder to choose one in particular. I'll think about this and might come up with something later.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show people places in my city that they otherwise may not find. I'm also interested in learning new languages, and am willing to teach you a bit of Indonesian if you're heading there next on your trip. I now speak a bit of Chinese too. I also enjoy food and cooking so if you have any recipes you want to swap that would be great.
