socially active in current issues. i love music, all kinds. i am gregarious and some shy at the same time. i'm pretty well-read. i've raised one son, all on my own.

i was raised episcopalian and adopted quakerism and buddhism as my preferred method of philosophy. i adhere to this tenet: "live simply, that others may simply live"

i'm new to this so i have not yet fully become involved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

as far as couch-surfing is concerned, i have slept on many couches in friends' houses over the years and have hosted many friends on couches i have owned.

Interests

i love books, almost all music, and a good party. i also love quiet and peace. gardening is my favorite thing to do and traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

i love old movies, indie flicks, almost any music, even some hiphop. i am well-read and favor the classics over modern literature. i avoid anything on oprah's list. i love henry miller, lawrence durrell, leo tolstoy, patrick white, and paul bowles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

the amazing thing was to drive across the country and back several times. the next thing was to produce a wonderful son who turns 26 later this year.
