ABOUT ME

I love people, adventure, converastion and creating occations to laugh.

I am embarking on this adventure because I have gotten a little too comfortable in my life and decided that it was time to do something a bit scary. When I get to NZ I will know exactly... no one. I have done minamal reasearch on the area (enough not to be a totaly obnoxious tourist) but I am currently working on designing a 'project/ peice' the 'rules' of which will dictate the trajectory of my exploration.
The project includes interview (which you are welcome to participate in or not if you host me), alternitive map making and more. If you are curious feel free to ask...

PHILOSOPHY

I'm just trying to figure it all out.
I want to see beautiful things and meet beautiful people.
I want to throw myself at life and get my knees skinned, cry, then laugh, and try again.
I want to do as little damage as possible while wandering blind in this big wide world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started up a CS account a LONG time ago, and promptly forgot about it. I have spent quite a bit of time with surfers as I have plenty of friends who have participated better than I have. I also live in a communal home and we, as a house, have hosted several surfers, though I have been involved in one of the coordination of stays.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never met a surfer I didn't like.

As of last week Cabin In the Woods, *Spoiler Alert* any movie with a murderous unicorn is a winner in my book!

Experimental, Noise, Bluegrass/ Old time, Dance beat, Freak/ acid folk, Jazz, Alt. Hip Hop, World beat, Rock, Post Punk,Sad Bastard (this is not actually a genre but should be!).... Honestly, I like a little of everything. My taste is particular, but not specific. If I can dance too it, we're good!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to be quite shy and socialy fearful of people I didnt know. I did a project to get myself over that, and I called it 'Stranger Project'. Without going into detail, the 3 major rules of this 'game' forced me to interact with virtually everyone I saw. About 1 month into it I had the most amazing moment.
I was sitting on a bench and two fairy rough looking men were walking down the sidewak across the street. One of them broke off, walked up to me and said "I'm sorry to inturrupt you, I just felt compelled to come over here and tell you that you look beautiful today." Then he smiled and left.
I knew that the universe was telling me I was making progress and that I had nothing to fear of 'strangers'. It sounds cheesey, but it felt profound.
