I’m a 22-year-old artist from Egypt. I do filmmaking, photography and music. I love art and nature and I consider the practice of mixing both of them to be the most spiritual and meditative thing I can do. I try to be as mindful as I can in everything I do whether it is the places I go, the relationships I form with people or even the food I eat. To me, nothing tops preparing a healthy delicious meal for myself and friends and enjoying it with a beautiful view of nature!

Traveling has always been the fuel to my soul. As a kid, I toured my home country Egypt from its coastal beaches to its desert valleys. And now, I aspire to visit as many countries in this world as I possibly can. As a graduate of social sciences, my travel experiences always leave me with some insightful reflections on people's relationships with their environment. It's aways so interesting to observe how different geographical, social and historical factors shape every human and even entire communities in very beautiful ways.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling with Couchsurfing has taught me so much about myself and the world. It's always very insightful to reflect on how diverse the cultures in this world are. Yet, how almost every human I meet is at their core living an experience that is in many ways similar to mine in spite of all these differences. It's nice to see how we can all connect beyond the physical and social borders.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba diving, camping in the desert and sailing for 3 days across the red sea! These things are amazing to me because they’ve made me feel really connected to nature and to myself :)

I can share my photography skills. If you need to take professional pictures of anything or of yourself, I’m more than happy to help :) I can also teach you some Arabic. If you’d like, we can also share our philosophies on life, discuss politics, religion and cultures. I can also help around the house, invite my hosts for a meal or a drink. I am a generous person and when someone is generous to me, I always make sure to return the favor in any way I can :)
