Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My wife and I recently moved to Brisbane and are starting to get a handle of how things go down here... We used to live in Adelaide and hosted more good eggs and wackos than I can remember, so we know the drill.

We have a huge ass old fashioned house with a balcony to chill overlooking the nearby mountain and a sweet mid century spare room so why the hell not do the surf thing.

Plus we know almost nobody here still so please be our friend :)

Interests

Yeah, we dig animation, art, animals, talking plants, dance, history, electronics, music and musicals, bike riding, getting some card games going, BEER, food and nutrition, books & comics (we got plenty of gooduns to browse) talkin bout Twin Peaks and generally finding the benefits of wine in a can.

We are more or less guaranteed to listen to records and generally fluff about drinking booze and chowing down on some goods.

We specialize mostly in music making and feet moving if you want a leg up in those areas.

What I Can Share with Hosts

You get a room to yourself - yes, it is as fancy as it sounds.
You know, there's a bed, wardrobe, hell, there's even a record player in there, knock yerself out.
There's a pin board in there with some local info that might be helpful, local takeaway, bus timetables.

On Wednesdays we go to a Community Food Mission where you give a gold coin donation and they let you pick from their selection of excess donated foods - great for travelers who need some food for the week - all the basics + some fancy stuff from time to time - bread, pastas, veggies, milks etc.

Back in Adelaide we used to dumpster dive almost exclusively to get by for our food, AND WERE LIVING LIKE KINGS I TELL YOU!... but have yet to find our niche cache in Bris so far sadly - always keen to go for a hunt if that's your bag.
