ABOUT ME
I spent years in the chaparral of the Santa Cruz mountains and the cedars of the Olympic Peninsula. I've watched leaves blow around and explored tide pools. I brew artist's conk tea, I worked at an herbal apothecary, and I've studied the ends of life, birth and death. Now, my three tiny doggies and I are on the road again, ideally ending up somewhere we can practice our yoga, walk near the salt water, and be together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would love to host people someday, but I will need to settle in a place that's good for that first. In the meantime, I surf...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I originally got to know the couchsurfing project when i went to England to explore my family's roots. My dad's ancestors all came from an area around Manchester, small towns like Oldham and Romiley, just a quick train ride out of the city. The sweet, down-to-earth, and gracious folks of Manchester gave me a solid place from which to leap while I visited the church where my great-grandparents were married, the ancient graveyard where my ancestors are buried, and the very bikable countryside.
Interests
Kundalini yoga in redwood groves, swimming in the ocean, drinking jurema, salmonberry bushes, the cosmic rattle of a freight train, monkshood plants growing in rocky creekbeds, cat's claw seed pods, lightning, angelica, blood vessels, salamanders, mountain lions, peninsulas full of mountains and surrounded by water, my faery goddaughter Fen and my fire flower Chloe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent time in Saorge, living in a hand-built stone cabin outside a medieval village hanging by sheer magic on the side of a mountain. You can't drive through this village, you have to walk through the crooked stone staircases, and every once in a while, a house loses its grip on the hillside and just comes down... All the water in the village fountains comes from springs up on the mountain, which my friends call, "La Source." In the late summer and early fall, you can climb into the trees and eat endless cherries, chestnuts and figs.
