About Me

Randomly ordered, I enjoy good food, travelling slowly, the British countryside, the sun, singing without having to hide it, Korean movies, reading, cycling, swimming, walking and colours.
For the past years I have been rethinking my way of consuming on a daily basis, and I aim to be able to live without producing waste in the following years. I'm striving towards a minimalist lifestyle, very slowly, by gradually getting rid of things I've accumulated in my 20 or so years.

Interests

Sustainable development and one of its babies: degrowth :)
The history and sociology of relationships between humans and their environment, humans and other animals, humans and other humans, animals and other animals...
Am very keen on learning anything about alternative ways of living, no matter how slightly or vastly different from 'the mainstream', especially if they involve moving away from carbon-emitting lifestyles.

Music, Movies, and Books

Queen & Bowie play music to my heart and limbs; Arctic Monkeys, Miniature Tigers and New Order play music to my eyes and brain.
Since I moved to the UK, started listening to French music nostalgically...

Some of my favourite books: Master & Marguerita (Bolgakov), Ellana (Bottero), War's Unwomanly Face (Alexievitch), The Spinoza Problem (Yalom), We Need to Talk About Kevin (Shriver)
Also enjoy reading biographies a lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A duathlon! In November 2015, hesitated to do it until the moment I left the starting line. But my friend believed in me very much and it gave me the courage to not give my body a choice: ran 6k and cycled 16, couldn't feel my lungs or legs for about an hour after the competition was over but it was definitely worth it! Such exhilaration!
