ABOUT ME

We are a group of friends conjoined by passion of performing Renaissance and early Baroque courtly music on copies of historical woodwind and string instruments.

Our band includes:
Arek (polish philology student; age 25) plays woodwind instruments
Winiak (guitar student, age 24) plays... wait for it... guitar
Zuzanna (psychologist; age 24) plays cello and viola da gamba
Krzyś (student; age 25)plays woodwind instruments
Darek (biology and baroque cello student, age 25) plays baroque cello and woodwind instruments
Natalia (violin student, age 23) plays violin

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a band we went to Austria, this year we're planning another busking trip. Moreover, Zuzanna and Natalia & Darek- are hosting people from time to time. COUCH REQUESTS: since we can offer you two locations write in your couch request which one you prefer, final result depends also on our schedules.

Interests

It's hard to write something because every one of us has a completely different personality, and thus - different interests. What is common for us is an early music(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BC4Ukpjc7hM), busking, travelling, and partying in Ambasada Śledzia because of reasonable prices and a presence of artistic bohemia in the person of Świetlicki :P (famous Polish poet). Some of us are interested in polish philology, broadly conceived culture, psychology (especially psychoanalysis), biology (psychopharmacology and other really complicated stuff, I'm not sure what exactly) films and reading a books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, we know each other for ten years, and there was a lot of amazing things that we did. We had won few prizes, met great deal of crazy people while busking, recorded our own CD, made many unforgettable meetings, and once we had tried to play a cover of "final countdown" :) (since final countdown is already playing in your head you can find our cover on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DxB3JZBzNM

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach you:
- how to play various instruments
- some basic facts about Polish history and culture
- how to pronounce properly polish tongue breaker: "w szczebrzeszynie chrząszcz brzmi w trzcicie"
- simply everything that we know, and you would like to learn.
We would like to learn:
- everything about daily life of people from your country,
- some amazing skills, that you certainly have.
