About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am just a creative guy who is into arts, culture and traveling, and with an immense lust for life, adventure and great experiences!

ABOUT ME

Basically, I am a professional writer (screenplays, novels, etc) and a little bit of an artist. With my work I can say I have achieved a considerable amount of stability in my life so to spice it up, I seek the road, adventures, new people and traveling a lot.

It is the best way let life decide for us once in a while.

PHILOSOPHY

I am really good at:
-Listening
-Making people feel comfortable
-Seeing the bright side of life
-Knowing people just by looking into their eyes
Mmmm...
a rather short list!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to share time and space with people I otherwise wouldn't have met in life. I am mostly intreested in people whom I can learn from. I love hearing your life experiences and whatever has changed your life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

How I love the process in which two almost strangers can tell to each other their different ways of seeing life, personal philosophies, tales of wisdom and life-changing experiences, from the smallest moment of clarity to their most devastating life traumas, and feel that releasing feeling of knowing themselves better after it.

Interests

Strolling in the nuit americaine, watching some Tarkovsky, reading early XX century classics, singing (if you can call singing to that) & recording sludge themes on my b-tuned Explorer, night-surfing empty streets on a longboard, attempting (at failing) at avantgarde homecooking, tea+movie appreciating, oil-painting or gathering with some friends for laughs.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: A lot! But to keep it short, I split myself into metallic sounds (anything from Paradise Lost to Darkthrone) when a kick is needed and I tend to favor cabaretesque, dark, TomWaitsian sounds when the night arrives. Lately my vinyl Modal Jazz collection is growing dangerously.

MOVIES: European Nouvelle-vague and 80's cinema, Japanese 90's and 30's American classics are my daily bread. Kieslowski, anyone?

LITERATURE: Lotsa! But saying "Proust above all things" you'll know the basics. Then we can say the usual Kafka, Hesse, Camus, etc, you know, the usual pompous "best of the XX century".

COMIC & MANGA: Historical and Seinen are the words. If you know what I am talking about, it should be enough.

FOOD: I'm almost vegetarian, but I need a fair weekly amount of
sushi to keep me alive. I love defying the laws of chemistry &
digestion attempting avantgarde cooking techniques with home tools and ingredients.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I think falling in a coma and surviving it is pretty awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach narrative and storytelling in several schools.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Life experiences, good music and (if time permits) a nice walk in Barcelona!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
