About Me

I guess I would describe myself as a curious explorer.

I live to explore and better understand the world we live in. I enjoy discovering new places, learning about their culture and history. I enjoy meeting interesting people, together sharing meaningful conversations and fun moments. I also really enjoy exploring nature, no matter what climate or the landscape. I spend my time not traveling either reading/writing about psychology and philosophy or working with UX and behavior design consulting.

While I don't have a spirit animal, I'm very down to earth and easy going. I do my best to not take myself too seriously and I believe laughter to be life's best medicine and listening life's most important skill.

I was born and raised in Sweden, but have lived in Sydney, Australia for the last 5 years as well as a couple of shorter periods in Colorado, US, and Shenyang, China.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a firm believer in that everyone carries with them an interesting story and something I can learn from. So I simply thought that for my 3 month Asia trip it would be great to try out Couchsurfing.

When I travel I'm also in general more interested in the people and the culture compared to the sightseeings. I'll rather spend a day drinking wine and chatting at café in Paris than at the Eiffel Tower or a night finding the best Peking duck in Beijing than visiting the Great Wall. So I thought Couchsurfing could give me a better opportunity to do so and I would like to give it a try!

Interests

I really enjoy connecting with people through good conversations, cooking, eating, music, philosophical discussions & learning from each other

I also enjoy moving and challenging my body, especially through dancing, gymnastics, hiking, diving, football & yoga

Lastly, I enjoy making someone's day a little bit better and that is why I'm involved in initiatives like Effective Altruism and Junior Achievement.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Currently latin music for dancing salsa & bachata. However, I grew up listening to a lot of Hip Hop, RnB & House music.

Movies: The Fall, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Interstellar, Into the Wild, Memento and surprisingly also La La Land

Books: Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Stories of Your Life and Others, The Alchemist, The Little Prince, 1984, The Obstacle is The Way & Sapiens

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Read 100 books in one year.

I simply love to learn and explore the world and I find books to be a great way to travel through imagination and other people's experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

Yes, yes & yes

As much as I like to learn, I also like to share and teach.

I would be more than happy to teach people about, for example, psychology, philosophy, cooking, latin dance, history, entrepreneurship, effective altruism, and languages (Swedish, English & Australian).
