ABOUT ME

We're two friends from Melbourne who study together going on a big trip to Iran and Lebanon! We've spent some time visiting friends in Africa but sadly have no contacts in our next two countries. We'd much prefer to couchsurf than stay in hotels because we like meeting people, and it feels a lot more 'real'!

We're both 21 and have travelled a bit before, but we're especially excited to see the beauty and the culture of the middle east. Blossom has just started studying Arabic and she's also fluent in French and OK at Spanish. Sam is OK at Spanish too and has spent time in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman before.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We love spending time with people but as guests we can also be quite independent and look after ourselves. We both clean and cook, are always respectful, and also like to have a good time! We are happy at a dance party, a dinner party or no party at all.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sam has couchsurfed in Spain and Holland before and had a really great time. Blossom has couchsurfed before too but not through this website, and also had a great time. We'd like to host in the future when our living arrangements will allow it!

Interests

We enjoy meeting lots of different people and sharing experiences. We both love food and dancing and reading and writing and walking. We love seeing beautiful nature, architecture and art.

Music, Movies, and Books

Sam likes Decadent literature, Jean Rhys and Orhan Pamuk. He's also been reading Rumi. His favourite band is the Magnetic Fields! And Bernardo Bertolucci movies.

Blossom likes reading books from the country she's in and Tom Robbins, Aldous Huxley and Coetzee. She likes Leonard Cohen and PJ Harvey. And the Beatles Movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We just had an amazing time in South Africa, climbed a mountain, saw lions and cheetahs and leopards and elephants and rhinos and hippos and ostriches and penguins and seals. We swam in the freezing Southern Ocean!

Teach, Learn, Share

Blossom has a lot of knowledge and loves conversations with people about politics and art. She is a great babysitter and tutor. She knows lots about environmental issues.

Sam can COOK. Indian and Pinoy food, baked goods, Moroccan...would love to share recipes! Other skills include: drawing, writing/editing (English), tarot readings.

We're mostly keen for general experience & knowledge share!
