I'm a UVA student studying a humanities major. From Atlanta, Georgia, I'm an avid hiker and backpacker. I read science fiction, I have two golden doodles, and my favorite town is Asheville, North Carolina.

I've travelled a little in Europe and in the U.S. One of my favorite qualities of myself is my introductory smile into swing dancing, and my eye contact when I meet new people. One of my favorite qualities of other people is a good handshake, and a willingness to offer to help out.

I once carried a small stone to the top of Katadhin, the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail in Maine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to start out my solo travels, and I want to meet people on the way... my best experiences have been not as a tourist but as someone immersed in the culture. That's how I want to learn the places I go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I built a giraffe out of driftwood I found on a beach in Oregon, and I caught a 23 inch brown trout in Montana.
