Hi!
I'm Sam and I'm currently a British exchange student on a year abroad at Louisiana State University. I've just completed my year of classes at LSU and am embarking on a period of travelling before flying home.
I've already been fortunate enough to travel to various cities across the country and love visiting new places and people, from hiking in Colorado to exploring vast urban areas like Chicago. Without sounding too much like a cliche I want to soak up as much of this great country as I can before heading home to complete my degree.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Being a student who wants to explore as much as the world as possible unfortunately comes with a budget. That said it's also a great opportunity to interact with new people and locals who will have extensive knowledge of the area. Plus, it feels like a more real and truer experience staying with a local.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'd say my music taste is quite varied, and whilst I have favourites I'm happy to listen to anything from Rap/Hip-Hop, Indie, 80s, Rock and some more mainstream stuff.
When it comes to movies I consider myself to be a bit of a nerd. My number 1 film would have to be The Dark Knight, but I also love the Star Wars franchise, The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit Trilogies and the Dark Knight Trilogy.
My favourite book is To Kill a Mockingbird.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Me and a friend drove from Phoenix to LA and back in a day on Christmas because we had no other plans! Was a bit of a struggle to spend 10+ hours in a car but some of the views on the drive were incredible and LA was pretty cool.
