Overview
About Me
Born in San Diego, CA, raised mostly between Park City, UT, Minneapolis, MN, and Boulder, CO, I most enjoy learning about what unifies us as people and how to create more socially and environmentally sustainable ways of life. Plus playing music and playing outside.
And food.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling/travelers always helps broaden my perspective; travelers are always the friendliest; and I like the sharing of places between locals and newcomers.
I learned about Couchsurfing while living in a coop in Boulder, and started using it myself for a trip through Latin America. I had some great experiences, have continued to meet great people through it, and want to pay it forward as soon as I have a permanent place.
Interests
Learning, healthy food (I love to cook and learn about/experiment with different cuisines), playing outside (esp. trail running, climbing, skiing, kayaking), and music (I play guitar and dabble poorly at piano.) Also woodworking. And cooperatives.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: most things other than pop. Especially rock, folk, bluegrass, and classical
Books: some favorites are Tao Te Ching, anything Wendell Berry or Mark Twain, any good history or psychology
Movies/TV: Wes Anderson, Mel Brooks, Monty Python, Seinfeld, The Simpsons, South Park, The King's Speech, more that I can't think of, I've been out of the habit for a while
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed some amazing rocks, skied some amazing slopes, played some amazing (as written) music, eaten lots of amazing food.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to help beginners with guitar and love to jam, and as a language learner I Iike to help people with their English (and understand the value of patience!). I'm not an expert cook, but I love to cocreate and learn from people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm easy going, understanding, clean and considerate. I love to eat good food so I'm always looking to make some!
