Overview
About Me
I'm an outdoor educator that loves to teach and talk about all of the amazing organisms in this world! I move around seasonally from job to job, and it's a fantastic way to see the country.
I'm currently taking time off to travel across the country by van and experience everything I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling in a van is a great time, but sometimes you miss out on the nuances of each place—staying with a local opens so many more doors to what’s around. And a shower never hurts!
Interests
Half nerd and half outdoor enthusiast, I have a strange combo of interest. If you're looking for someone to accompany you on a hike or just want to play a game of Smash Bros, I'm happy to give you company!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: My favorite genres are folk and bluegrass, but I try to listen to everything I can!
Movies: Once upon a time, I was a big movie buff, but I've since fallen away from it. My current favorites are Rear Window, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
Books: Comic books of all shapes and sizes, sci-fi, fantasy, and some non-fiction science on the side.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived backcountry in the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior for a month leading a trail maintenance crew of high schoolers. Living in one beautiful spot in the wilderness gave me a wonderful new prospective on the outdoors.
Teach, Learn, Share
I absolutely love to spread my knowledge of biology, dinosaurs, and ecology wherever I can.
