About Me

Graduated in the summer of 2013, decided to have a break from academia, jump on a plane and explore the world. 5 years and one hell of a journey later, I have found myself two years into creating a new hostel concept in Bucharest, Romania with a few friends. Podstel. Check it out online www.podstel.com.

Podstel is a creative backpacker's hostel that helps travellers to share their experiences and passions while travelling and connecting with amazing people from all over the world. A lot of the experiences I had couchsurfing led me to co-create a special place that was voted the best hostel in Romania 2018.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to Couchsurfing by my best friend who had used it on his travels in North America and after hearing all the stories and wonderfully unique people he met I knew I had to do it myself. Hosted and been hosted countless times since

Music, Movies, and Books

Pretty open-minded to all music so I've a very broad spectrum, impossible to single out a favourite genre!

I love films, few of my favourites: The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Superbad, Step Brothers, all the Batman films

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two days after donning the cap and gown for my graduation I was flying to Ho Chi Minh to embark on 3000km motorbike journey through the HECTIC roads, tracks and trails of Vietnam. Having never rode a motorbike before in my life, a 20 minute practice on the side of the road was all I had to prepare me for the crazy Vietnamese traffic.

Countless breakdowns, deaf ears from bike/ car horns and several near death experiences added character to the wonderful people, scenery and adventure that occured in the month spent in that magnificent country.

Teach, Learn, Share

Wanted to share an enthusiastic and positive approach to life, health and travel... I'm fascinated by peoples stories and cultures!
Being a qualified massage therapist I can teach you basics, advise and help aid any current injuries.
Also a keen cook that can rustle up a few international specialities and would love to learn from all of you budding chefs.
