About Me
Sorry if you sent me a msg and I haven't responded. I have been overwhelmed with messages. Thank you for getting in touch - I so appreciate it! :)
I'm a high school teacher who grew up in Melbourne, Australia. After spending the last 6 years teaching, I have suddenly found myself at a point where I'm not sure it's what I want to do for the rest of my life. At the end of last year (2015) I decided to take a leap of faith and quit my job. I have now embarked on a, somewhat indefinite, travel adventure that will take me around the world! I am currently in Italy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couch surfing as a way of meeting new people. Traveling on your own can be somewhat daunting. I thought this would be a great way for me to meet like minded people and instantly know a friendly face. It'll also be useful to have someone to spend time with, who can give me a more familiar/expert perspective...where the the best food is, great tips on local hangouts, public transport, currency...anything and everything really!

Music, Movies, and Books
I just finished reading The Alchemist (which I loved). Other favourites are: The Outliers, Big Magic and To Kill a Mockingbird.
When it comes to music, I like a bit of everything really. I particularly enjoy acoustic/soulful music. Some favourite artists are: Missy Higgins, Jeremy Loops, John Mayer, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2013 I climbed to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. It's still to this day one of the best things I have ever done. Bloody hard, but so, so worth it to get to the top!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always happy to help with English language skills and equally as happy to learn your language also.
Apart from that just love to share travel stories. Or any stories in general. Love a bit of karaoke...and I make a pretty mean guacamole.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Positivity. Gratitude. Kindness. Good conversation. A willingness to help out around the house. (I'm extremely clean by the way)
I'm very easy going, so if there's anything you need, just ask
