About Me
I have worked many jobs learning many different skills from labour to care work as well as creating art all my life in many different forms. I draw and have a keen interest in wood and metal work.
My life was reasonably "normal" until i decided to pack up and see some of the world in 2012. I started in SriLanka, then onto Australia, I lived and worked in Sydney for a few months then hitchhiked up to Byron Bay. When i got there i found a beautiful rainforest community where a slow pace of life along with art, creation and self development were the focus. I set up camp there and didn't leave for another 8 months.
During my stay i played music, taught my self to fire spin and became involved in organizing large scale beach parties as well as a thousand other projects i still mean to finish...
I made many amazing friendships with people from all over the world. Some of who i spent 2 days with, some 8 months. and many who i have continued to see and keep in contact. My most amazing connection came from working on a project where i would collect stories to eventually make a book from the people i met of there adventures of life. She told me her story, we formed a friendship. Months later we had our first date. Then we fell in love.
We then said our goodbyes to the community and moved on to Thailand. Then we spent some time in Bali where we saw friends and explored a little or what Bali had to offer. We woke up around 6am on September 11th, both turned to each other and decided today we would get married. We spend the day moving around the rice fields and volcanoes and then we settled on the holy water temple to have our marriage ceremony. Our wonderful friend, known for her naked hoolahooping, had recently become ordained for the occasion, married us in the most beautiful of ways (fully clothed). From then we went back to Thailand, then on to England. spend a few months there and then went over to Canada where our amazing son Bo was born.
We are now in the UK and working towards creating a community similar to the one we met in and also in the process of building a house truck from scratch.
That basically takes you up to now...
Im always striving to develop and learn new skills and further my knowledge in all aspects of life.
I feel you learn a lot about yourself from putting yourself in uncomfortable situations.
Always open to new experiences. Try anything once!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have a few reasons for couch surfing. Firstly, the refreshing experience you receive from talking to somebody new. I thrive from meeting, learning and teaching others through life experiences and have found some of the most magical experiences can come from the briefest of meetings.
Secondly, Money. I am trying to progress into a life where i trade and barter first and use money as a second option.
