About Me

I'm soon out of school and soon into a job, but with a month in between that. My degree is in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. I studied abroad in Switzerland then worked in Macedonia last summer and caught the traveling bug. I plan on seeking adventure on the west coast this summer before starting my new work-life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've got a month between the end of school and the beginning of real life, so I plan on taking that time to explore the US. I'll be alone since everyone else has responsiblity and I want to meet more travelers.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Mainly alternative, indie, folk, and slightly popish stuff. Also classical though that needs to be live. I've got a record collection for the sake of having something physical in a digital age. My collection includes: The Black Keys, Glass Animals, Tune Yards, Spoon, John Mark Nelson, Kishi Bashi, a bunch of Dvorak, a couple opera collections, and several others.

Movies: any odd scifi is good with me, Her, Ex Machina, Star Wars. There are only a few movies I'll watch more than once one being Rocky Horror Picture Show

Books: currently reading dune, favorite so far would be Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut, past favorite would the the ender's game series, honorable mentions would be ready player one, year zero, and an oodle of starwars omnibi comic collections

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lost my glasses at the bottom of matka canyon in Macedonia then spent an hour nearly giving a 6'8" polish man hypothermia directing him to the glasses from a kayak.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can do just about anything with a box full of scrap, electronics, and an arduino. Come to me with an idea and I'd love to help design and create something amazing.

I'm also classically trained on the upright bass, so teach and learn me some kind of musics. My bass's name is Charlotte, but sadly she can't travel with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I get experimental with cooking either making something great and unique, or a horrible mistake. Point me toward a farmers market, and I'll make you dinner, and maybe you can give me some cooking tips.
