My names Sam, I'm an Australian backpacker who is currently travelling around the US & Canada. I've made my way through Latin America visiting- Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Cuba & Mexico.

I worked in Sales and Business previously before being laid off, so naturally the decision was to explore the world. Back home I play Australian football and love keeping fit. I'm a huge NBA fan so if you are too we're going to get along!!

In my journey I think the one thing I can always share and enjoy with someone is food, I love to cook, share recipes and share a meal together.. so if you're a foodie let's do this. Also, if you know I good coffee joint please take me!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I want to meet new people but ultimately I want to see a city through a locals eyes not just a tourist. I want to hear people's thoughts and stories, and I want to explore the city they call home.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I want to teach and share:
I love to teach and explain Aussie slang to new people (trust me there's English, and then there's Aussie English haha), I also love to cook so if we can let's cook together. For me sharing a beer, stories of travel and adventure and eating a BBQ and other meals from home is what I want to share with people. It's my staple summer weekend which I missed back home this year.
