Hi, I’m Sam! I’m from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and I am 26 years old. I recently graduated university with a bachelor’s in business management, and I have been looking for new challenges both at home and abroad. I currently manage my own small vending machine business; slinging chips like a drug dealer slings crack. Right now I am travelling through France.

My favourite books are: The Lord of the Rings, East of Eden, Modern Man in Search of a Soul, and The Count of Monte Cristo.

I love music from the likes of Leonard Cohen, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Frank Ocean and Kanye West, among countless others.

Some of the films I hold in highest regard are: The Lord of the Rings, Spartacus, The Wild Bunch, Interstellar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I have done is hiked along the Grand Canyon after a road trip on Route 66, and then descended down into its depths by helicopter to paddle along the Colorado River.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope I can teach my hosts English, how to rig a fishing line, or how to make a box of Kraft Dinner.

I would love to learn how to cook a proper meal 😂

And I am happy to share my love for philosophy, especially from the likes of Carl Jung and Friedrich Nietzsche. Lending an ear to what those I meet may have to say would also be great.
