I grew up on the beautiful Dutch Caribbean island Aruba and moved to the Netherlands to study in 2010. After finishing my Master's degree in Sustainable Energy Technology last year I decided to head to South America for a few months, travelling, exploring, and generally see where life takes me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and to meet people. Many of my friends have been using Couchsurfing and have told me it's a great way to get around and meet people. I currently don't have a place to host people, but I will definitely do so as soon as I can, meeting travelers is always fun!

Interests

My philosophy is to always try new things, so I end up having a lot of interests. I'm interested in something new every so often, it never stays the same for long hahaha.

Generally I love sports, travelling, books, music, movies and nature, just to mention a few.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all of these, so it's hard for me to mention some favorites.

I love discovering new music, play a bit of guitar and want to learn to play piano.
Love watching movies, new movies or classics I don't really care, movies are great.
I also try to read a lot. Mostly fiction, but I like to read some philosophy from time to time as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My time volunteering in the Philippines was amazing. I got to meet a lot of great people with whom I went on awesome adventures. Conquering the highest mountain in the Philippines, mnt. Apo, has to be one of the proudest achievements of my life!

I can teach you Dutch and my English is very good as well. Always keen to learn new things!
