About Me

I grew up in a small industrial town in Germany, went to school in Ireland for one year and spent a year working in Ecuador.
Mountains, rivers and seas have great attraction for me and so far I have spent too little time hiking through nature and camping on the way. I am always happy to start some adventure, do a hike or bike tour, cook or bake something or just relax a bit. Furthermore, I like playing the cello, have done Judo for almost all of my life and read as often as I can. Also I am fond of all kinds of card games...
Apart from that I consider myself to be an easy going, down to earth and open minded kind of person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard from my twin sister that one can meet amazing people on this platform and that's why I am here.
I hope to meet inspiring people, see the world through the perspective of other people and experience an amazing time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: The Script, Jarabe de Palo, Leonardo Cohen, Die Ärzte, Seeed, British Sea Power
Films: Batman - The Dark Knight, Leon the Professional, Traumschiff Surprise, Jurassic Park,
I usually read two books at a time: a deep one (right now it is Open Veins of Latin America by Leonardo Galeano), and some nice story such as Waking Lions (Ayelet Gundar-Goshen), A man called Ove (Frederik Backman) and American Gods (Neil Gaiman).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed a mountain in Ecuador and right on the top, the clouds vanished and I could see everything. And then a Condor passed by like 10 meters from the tip.
I felt so great that moment
