About Me

I am a third year student at Loyola University Chicago and am currently studying at Loyola's John Felice's Rome Center for the spring 2016 semester. I am 21 years old and a Psychology major/Marketing minor. I am from Frankfort, Illinois, U.S.A. and when I am not at school in Chicago, I live with my mom, dad, and brother. I am fun-loving, adventure-seeking person. Studying and traveling abroad is something I've always wanted to do and I am extremely grateful that I have this opportunity of a lifetime to leave the United States for a few months while gaining college credit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend told me about her experiences with couch surfing, and naturally I was curious and concerned about the safety of sleeping in a stranger's home. While I am abroad, I want to make the most of my time and make connections or relationships and have experiences with others that are from the country I am visiting. I think it is an easy and fun idea to really make the most of my visit.

Interests

Reading, exploring new places, snowmobiling, cooking, dancing, eating good food and wine, spending time with family and friends, and trying new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love The 1975, Panic! at the Disco, Sam Smith and so much more. I enjoy really any genre of music. My favorite movie is National Treasure, I've seen it more times that I can count. One of my favorite books is "All Quiet on the Western Front" by Erich Maria Remarque. I also like to indulge in cheesy romance novels from time to time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have traveled alone to come to a continent I have never been before, leaving my family, friends, and boyfriend behind for 5 months. I am a very family and relationship-oriented person and spending time with these people brings me the most joy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to teach my host about myself and where I am from and share my experiences with them.

I hope to learn more about the culture and life in the country I am visiting. I love to learn and then use that information to gain more knowledge about the world we live in.

I hope to share my love of life and adventure with my host and take the time to get to know them and talk about our experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experiences and travels both in the United States and in other places in Europe with my host. I love hearing others' stories and keeping company.
