Overview
About Me
After living a year in Jordan, I have been obsessed with learning Arabic and seeing the world. Eventually, I want to visit every continent.
My favorite things are spontaneous trips, meeting cool people, and learning about different parts of the world. I'm always up for an adventure, and always excited to talk about books. I love travelling in the Middle East and speaking Arabic. Maybe one day I'll live in Lebanon.
I take frequent road trips and drive for hours just looking for interesting little places. I love small hole-in-the-wall restaurants and getting lost in foreign cities. Travel guides are overrated - it's always way more interesting to see a city through the eyes of the interesting people who live there.
I research Middle Eastern politics, specifically Shi'ite militia mobilization in Iraq, and the Syrian Civil War.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet new people and learn about their countries. People are always so cool and interesting, and I like hearing what they have to say. Also... why pay a fortune for a hotel when there are so many kind, interesting people willing to share?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I used to help refugees resettle in Lexington, Kentucky, helping prepare their apartments, register their kids in school, attending doctor's appointments, and setting up public benefits. I met so many amazing people, and heard some pretty amazing stories. If I ever get the chance, I would work there again in a heart beat.
