Overview
About Me
I’m a twenty-something living in the Vine neighborhood in Kalamazoo. I am a lover of people and diversity and am very excited to meet interesting folks and make new friends! Music is a huge part of my life and I take it with me everywhere I go. I love to share as a musician and also listen to the talents of others. Camping is one of my biggest passions and I am always looking for a new park/wilderness to explore! I’m currently engaged to my best friend and will be traveling with her most of the time in the coming future.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve always wanted to travel and this seems to me like the most “real” experience that I can have. I want to get knee deep in all of the different cultures wherever I end up.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Lately I’ve been in to a lot of folk and indie music but my tastes are all across the board. I’m way in to older punk rock like Black Flag or Dead Kennedys but I also love stuff like The Milk Carton Kids or José González. I collect vinyl and my most recent listening has been Led Zeppelin I. Too many bands to list here so we’ll have to talk about it!
Movies: Some of my favorite films of all time are;
The Big Lebowski
Pulp Fiction
It’s a Wonderful Life
Breakfast at Tiffany’s
The Back to the Future trilogy (Yes, all three)
Again, way too many to list here!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got to sing alongside 24 other guys in a barbershop chorus. We competed in an international contest in San Antonio, TX and placed 4th.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m a bit of a hippy nowadays. All cliches aside I am a big advocate for loving people and promoting nonviolence. I love to keep peace in every situation and do whatever I can to serve those around me.
