Overview
About Me
There once was a guy named Sam, who traveled whenever he can.
No tiengo mucho dinero and that's kinda why I'm here(o).
I'm currently traveling around central America and currently in north Guatemala looking to learn about local customs and traditions, particularly power plants. As much as I love a good party I'm now focusing more on spirituality and sustainable living.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
So many friends and associates have been singing songs of praise about couch surfing and I'm really not sure why Ive not registered sooner.
I look forward to meeting like minded, fun and happy people from all walks of life.
I don't have a great deal of money so this is a great opportunity to exchange super amazing company (that's me) for a humble place to unwind and rest.
I'm also hoping that staying with locals I may have the chance to improve my Spanish and experience first hand the local culture. ie away from the main tourist/traveler hot spots.
Interests
As a chef Ive a lot of interest in food and always happy to cook. I dont really have a specialty as I like diversity too much.
Puffing the herb before a good chat is always a good ice breaker for me, then why not puff a little more.
Ive enjoyed many natural wonders and feel right at home in the wilderness.
Would love to learn more about local plant medicines and the practices of local shamans.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite authors are: Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, Carlos Casteñada and the studies of Terrence Mckenna and Hoffman.
I enjoy the poetry of Rumi and surprisingly some Stalins poems are pretty romantic(not so published)
Im super eclectic with music and enjoy all sorts , mainly rock, regga/dub, jazz, house and ethnic and tribal music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learned to love everyone and everything unconditionally. Can be harder in practice but that's the goal
Teach, Learn, Share
Im pretty confident in the kitchen and love to exchange knowledge and ideas.
I'm very keen to learn about sustainable building and agri/permaculture and I'm more than happy to work in exchange for some new skills.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A big hug, a big joint and the knowledge obtained during my 30 years on earth.

Andorra, Croatia, England, France, Germany, Guatemala, India, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Thailand
