About Me

I'm traveling through Portugal and Spain right now and would love to meet you!

I really enjoy rivers, forests, and connecting with people about their goals. I've spent most of my career as a volunteer coordinator, helping with projects like tree planting, wildlife surveys, and removing invasive plants. Recently, I worked at the Oregon Zoo, where I ran a program that taught visitors how our food choices affect wildlife, such as the impact of palm oil, chocolate, and beef.

Meeting new people through couch surfing and travel has been a dream come true. Before the pandemic, I spent winters in Guatemala and Mexico to improve my Spanish and see more of the world. I've also lived briefly in Thailand and visited a few countries in Europe.

For fun, I love hiking, visiting cemeteries, bike riding, singing karaoke, reading in the sun, baking desserts, and having deep conversations. I would describe myself as calm, funny, mature, and relaxed.

I identify as queer and lesbian, and I use she/her pronouns. I enjoy meeting other LGBTQ people.

When I'm not traveling, I live in Los Angeles with my girlfriend, dog, and cat. If you visit, you might meet them too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I built my own electric guitar from scratch, even though I didn’t have much experience with woodworking before. The body is made from beautiful flame maple, which used to be part of a thick wooden table at a local ice cream shop. With help from many friends, I turned this big block of wood into a beautiful instrument.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a great problem solver, and like whenever someone gives me the green light to brainstorm creative ways to get things done.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like cleaning and cooking, and I make a tasty chocolate chip cookie. I've worked as an English language tutor and loved it. I like to say I know a little bit about a lot of things, and can answer questions about many topics from web design to traveling tips to videography to leadership practices.
