About Me
Ooo... time for an update! I gave up my life in England in March 2015 to travel Asia for as long as my money would allow.
I lasted for around 4 months and chose to head over to Africa for a while to volunteer on a disaster relief project in Malawi. After 3 months there, I headed back to Asia and eventually over to Australia where I have stayed! I've been in Melbourne for nearly 2 years with no plans to go home anytime soon!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I think couch surfing is a great way to see a place as it really is and make friends in new places. I had a great experience with my host in Malaysia and I would like to do more!
Interests
I have found a few constants in my interests as I've gotten older... I LOVE travelling. That feeling when you land in a new place is indescribable and I plan to never stop. I love yoga and being healthy, so swimming, running, hiking etc.
I did a Master's in International Development and love learning about new projects to help people out of poverty or help migrants to settle in new places.
I love people, and new experiences, and exploring the world we live in.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love books. Shantaram, Three Swans, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Everything is Illuminated, The 100year old man who climbed out of the window and disappeared, His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman. If you have read all these I have more...
Favourite Movies... There's too many!! American Psycho, Blood Diamond, Leon, any X-men film. Anything by Quentin Tarantino.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in rural Malawi for 3 months, a 6hr drive from the nearest ATM. That was incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a TEFL so I can teach English and I love learning so I make a pretty good student :-)
What I Can Share with Hosts
My smiley face, my stories 😊 I know abit about international development if you are interested.
I can cook maybe a little... Not so much traditional British food but I'm pretty good with a random mix of cupboard ingredients 😊
