About Me
First went travelling when I was 17 and havent stopped since! I love to learn new places and meet new people and have made great friends for life wherever I have been. Every new experience is a good one!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Its always fun to meet new people and I love to show people around places I have grown up loving and feel them fall in love with them too ;). Also I believe the best way to experience a place is to have someone who really knows it show you around.... Makes sense right??
Interests
The Arts! - Film, Music, Literature.... Can talk endlessly about these and Philosophy. Also Music Festivals are the best thing ever.
Football - Big Arsenal fan so no Spurs fans allowed ;). Also love to play!
Skiing/Snowboarding - Can do both pretty well and absolutely love to get out on the mountains!
Diving - I am a certified Divemaster and love to dive. Have done a lot of diving in Cambodia, Greece and Martinique
Hiking/Exploring - As a Scotsman it is only natural that I have a love for the wilderness, especially mountains and rivers. There is nothing better than hiking for hours and being rewarded with a beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere.
Canyoning - If you haven't done it then check it out... It's just the best time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived on Koh Rong Samloem, an Island off the south coast of Cambodia for 4 and a half months. I worked for Marine Conservation Cambodia as a surveyor on a seahorse sanctuary. I lived in a hut on the beach/on the edge of the jungle, slept on a hammock and showered from a bucket.
Teach, Learn, Share
If im interested in something, I tend to go really deep. I know a lot about all of the interests I have listed and always love to discuss my interests and if I can teach then great! With regards to learning, that is why I travel...
Also I really want to learn saxophone so if anyone wants to teach me... ;P
What I Can Share with Hosts
There are many things in Scotland to share. The beautiful, historical city of Edinburgh has lots to offer, and if you come in August then the Festival will be on there is an unlimited amount of shows, bands, comedy, street performers etc. This is also the best time of the year to come for a Cèilidh!

Edinburgh has one of the biggest New Year celebrations in the world, and if you come for New Year, we can go to the famous Hogmanay Street Party on Princess Street (80,000 people!).
Glasgow is a great city for the arts and many great bands go there. It also has the best nightlife in Scotland. I have many friends here that you/we could stay with.
My hometown of North Berwick on the South East coast of Scotland has 20 miles of beautiful sandy beaches, and on a summer's day is perfect for a BBQ and Whisky around the fire in the evening.
All of this is great, but if you come to Scotland the best thing anyone can do is go to the highlands. With some of the best mountain and loch (lake) scenery in the world, you could spend months travelling in the wilderness of Scotland and I have plenty of recommendations for destinations.
