My name is Sam, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you! My girlfriend and I are currently about to start an 8-month trip around the world, starting in Europe. I've traveled a fair bit before, and the best part is getting to know the people along the way. My favorite things to do are the completely unexpected ones, because they always make for the best stories and the most fun.

I have always been fascinated by cultures that I don't entirely understand. I want to be immersed as much as I can when I travel, and this seems like the best way to do just that. I want to see places from a local's perspective, not just the cliche tourist version. I believe that's the only way to really get something important out of all this.

Harry Potter! Lord of the rings, Dan Brown, Jodi Picoult, pretty much anything that can keep me entertained. I'm a shameless lover of chick flicks (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is a classic). I love country music, hip hop, rap, and I can appreciate almost anything.

Summited the highest mountain in Iceland - after climbing glaciers to get up and thinking I couldn't take another step for hours on end, it was one of the most breathtaking moments for me.

Good conversation! I love to chat about anything and everything. I'm not an amazing cook, but I enjoy it and can definitely manage to get something American together! My mother has some amazing recipes that I'm lucky enough to have received from her. I'm also willing to exchange any books that I might have already finished!
