I'm currently working as a mental health nurse, living with my friend Chris who also works within the NHS.

We're both up for trying absolutely anything new, Leeds has climbing walls, trampolining parks and classes for all sorts of things. We are both currently focusing on martial arts but will give anything a go and try find activities to suite your taste and hopefully you can teach us a thing or two from home as well!

We enjoy cooking, especially for guests, so expect to be fed well (all diets catered for) and if you could teach us a local delicacy from your own culture that'd be amazing.

Leeds is surrounded by countryside and I have camping stuff and bikes so that's always an option for adventure! Otherwise if you fancy a drink or someone to catch up with in Leeds give me a shout as we have some great night life up here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people, to experience the world and all its variety and glory. I want to look at alternative ways to live on this planet and I think meeting as many different people with just as many different ideas and experiences is a good start. I hope to host when ever possible, I love the idea of welcoming someone into my home and my way of life and obviously I'd love to surf.

Interests

Cycling camping climbing cooking apparently things that begin with the letter c, all sorts I'm open to trying anything and would love to learn some new skills and teach some of my own. Been working on a good handstand for a while now I'm just not built for balance I don't think but I'll get there! Also learning piano(any tips would be greatly appreciated) and we have a variety of instruments around the house for playing around and jamming to.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm generally a reggae kinda man but it completely varies by mood, I love areas of all music and I'm getting confident with the djembe, cajon and darbuka drums and have spares I have spares so come and make some noise with us! I'm finally getting back into reading again, currently a collection of articles on physics and animal farm. Films.. anything that's not too blockbuster I guess.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's all about those moments, a motorbike ride down a mountainside, thirty hour train journeys, sunsets and sunrises when you just get that feeling, exploring alone, sharing beautiful experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a surfer I guess I'd work around the host individually, if you have a dog that needs walking I'm your man, I'll cook and share recipes, share responsibilities, share stories and share experiences. A lot of the time the people you meet really make the journey so I hope to make some new friends and to return the favour in England or wherever I end up someday!
