About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Strip my life down and build it back up.

ABOUT ME

I'm a fun, easy to get along with guy that loves to meet new people and try new things. And I promise I'm much more original than that last sentence.

PHILOSOPHY

When a dog runs at you, whistle for him.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just joined, which I'm kind of bummed about b/c I wish I would have hosted before leaving for Europe! But once back in the states, and get a job/place, I'm totally going to whore out my couch. It's a great opportunity to meet new people and give back to a really awesome community of people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Brand new.

Interests

I love experiences that broaden your perspective on life and really make you feel alive. I love to read and write. I'm also an avid social media marketer and love learning new ways to connect with new people. I also LOVE to swim and spend a ridiculous amount of time near water. If not there, then at the bar ordering another gin and tonic.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hemingway, Thoreau, Chekhov, Nabokov, Raymond Carver, Tony Kushner, Tennessee Williams, Michael Chabon, Hunter S. Thompson, Stuart Dybek, Yiyun Li and a ton of other people that blow my mind.

Love live/local music. Favorites include U2, Polica, anything Jack White gets his crazy hands on, The Black Keys, Ben Harper, Bon Iver, The Strokes, Rufus Wainwright, Ray LaMontagne and Radiohead.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Sicily during college and that entire island blew me away. I've never had an emotional response to a location before but it really made me change the way I structured my life so travel while I was young, was first and foremost.

I recently began a three month stay in France and upon getting off the plane realized my host family speaks no English. Luckily, along with my two semesters of college French and a ton of my family's patience, I'm on my way to being a regular French conversationalist. The moment I realized I actually could understand a majority of what they were saying was an incredible moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to write. I speak some French but would love to learn more. I can ski and snowboard quite well. I'd like to learn how to properly iron a dress shirt and put a nice crease in a pair of pants.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Italy

Countries I’ve Lived In
