About Me

Hello!
My name is Sam and I'm currently undertaking my honours year at the University of Sydney studying the Europeanisation of French foreign policy. My interest has always been the European Union and Europe more broadly. I think the EU is such a fascinating entity which is envied across the world.
I'm also so interested in European politics more broadly, and one of my goals is to meet Merkel or Macron in person!

J'etudie le francais actuellement and would like to study German in the near future.

I'm not just a bookworm though! I also like to party, get out there and explore the people, culture and local people.

I'm also very clean and can cook for you as a thank you. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I think meeting new people all over the world is such a fantastic thing that would really immerse in the local culture.

What better way to really discover the local culture than through Couchsurfing?

Interests

Other random interests of mine include:
The Byzantine Empire
The Habsburg Dynasty
Weimar German Culture
Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth
The work of Alphonse Mucha
Marie Antoinette

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music is a mixture of classical and also the Top 50 charts! Currently it's Louis Tomlinson's Back to you
My favourite movie is The Fall by Tarsem Singh and Amelie by Jean-Pierre Jeunet

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a solo trip around the Middle East when I was 19, visiting Turkey, Israel, and Jordan.
That was such a memorable experience (although I started missing Korean food near the end.)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm also very clean and can cook for you.

I can also teach you Korean or English if you'd like!
