I'm new, but I presume I might need a couch to crash on in the future! I do have a couch at my place in Abu Dhabi, but beware, it's small!

I'm a marine biologist in the UAE, and love to talk ecology. I spend my off-time playing sports (basketball, squash, volleyball, etc) and writing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once upon a time, midsummer, I climbed a mountain named Taranaki in New Zealand, and a freak snowstorm blew through. My friends and I were ill-prepared, tee-shirts and wine bottles, and barely made it in time to the cabin near the summit. After two days the storm stopped, and, after climbing to the summit, I ran down the mountain faster than Usain Bolt. I am now forever awestruck with the power of nature, and respect the unexpected.
