Overview
About Me
I graduated from the University of Kansas in 2015 and now live in the plaza in Kansas City. During my time at KU I studied abroad twice: First for a year in Europe, living in both Vienna and Stuttgart. And then for a month in southern India.
While in Europe I traveled frequently, using couch surfing a number of times. I really enjoyed it as it was a great way to meet new people and an awesome way to save money.
I now work for a company here in Kansas City and get the opportunity to travel for work occasionally. But most of the time I am home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I traveled a lot when I was younger (still traveling occupationally) and want to give back to this great community. I am finally at the position where I can offer my own couch up for couchsurfers and am excited about the opportunity.
Interests
I love movies, politics, music, and sports. I am constantly behind on new and old movies I want to watch, and I am always down to hit up the bars to watch the game, or just chill at home. While I love politics and talking about it, I also understand why most don't and therefore usually avoid talking about it. I do enjoy a good, level headed, conversion on the topic however, when its the right moment.

Music, Movies, and Books
My likes are way to fluid (and exhaustive) to be listed. But I can list my current favorites in all 3.
Music:
Movie: Spotlight
Books: Ready Player One
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Recently? Rock climbing with my crazy rock climbing buddy. Seriously I am fairly new to this and the guy was pushing me to do crack climbing (for those who don't know, no it does not involve taking crack and then climbing, it involves intentionally getting your hands and feet jammed in a big crack going up a sheer face to help you climb! Its crazy!)
Teach, Learn, Share
My Germany skills are atrophying and I would like to get those back up to shape. Additionally I am remarkably less experienced at traveling on the cheap here in the US. (I know my own country, but what can I say? Most of the time the answer is just rent a car! And hostels? you can forget about them in all but the largest of cities in the United States) As far as for others, I can definitely tell you all about the best Barbecue places here in Kansas City. I don't like to brag (sarcasm) but I am a certified Kansas City Barbecue Judge (seriously heavy sarcasm).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Not much! I'm a decent cook, and a social person. But I won't pretend to be any better than anyone else. I take care of my own mess, and try to treat others homes as I would want others to treat my place.
