About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Express myself

ABOUT ME

I never stop smiling. I can't help but be happy all the time. I'm a happy-go-lucky person. I'm quite relaxed, but i like to be doing something.
I love to try new things and discover new things.

I like meeting lots of people, and i'd like to think that when i die i'll have made a positive difference to the lives of lots of people.

I'm not particularly ambitious career-wise, but i always try to do my best in every aspect of my life.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in being Happy. Happy whatever the situation. The situation's always better if you're happy. I'm almost always happy.

"Happiness is only real when shared" Christoffer McCandless

"Don't you cry for lost, smile for the living, get what you need and give what you're given, life's for the living, so live it or you're better off dead" Passanger

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to meet lots of people. All my most treasured memories are with people. As Christoffer McCandless realised, just before death "Happiness is only real when shared." I enjoy my own company, but i prefer to be with other people.
At the moment i can't host, so i'll meet people at activities or when travelling, but in the future i hope to host too !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First attempt (August 2012) at using it didn't work out too well, almost nobody was able to host us. Me and my travel buddy met up for a drink with one couchsurfer in Zagreb, who talked about the city and gave us some good advice.

September 2012, first successful couch-surf in Edinburgh, amazing person, conversation and accommodation.

September 2012, joined the Sunday Slackers Collective through Couchsurfing while i was in Manchester. Livened my stay a great deal.

December 2012 I joined a project for helping homeless people, through couchsurfing.

I was able to host a couple of times throughout 2013-2014 year at my flat up in Edinburgh, and i think they were successful, i certainly enjoyed the meetings :) I hope to have more when i find a new flat to move into!

Interests

My main passions lie in dance and all forms of exercise.

But I have a really wide range of interests:
from reading, relaxation, meditating, and life modelling
to running, dancing, fencing, archery and hiking ;
from piano, art, drawing and painting,
to photography and sculpting.
to simply sitting in silence admiring the beauty of the world

Music, Movies, and Books

Into the Wild (film and book), Harry Potter (the whole series is Epic), Historical Novels (especially about the greek, roman and mongolian empires). I love most books really, all sorts. I love happy endings best.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing i've ever done?
That's difficult, because life itself is amazing !

Maybe Travelling West Canada? coming face to face with a grizzly,

Or the Duke of Edinburg Gold? Getting lost, the massive april snow storm, the tent getting blown into a tree, the icy coldness of the lakes we swam in in the evenings... We climbed the highest peak in the Lake District. It was so windy we had to crawl and climb on our hands and knees for the last 500 meters!

The InterRail trip through switzerland, austria, croatia, italy and france is another one full of interesting times and good stories, lots of good memories. Lots of Beautiful places.

Or Kenya? Living in the slums of Kibera, climbing mount Oloosayetti, working in an orphanage with the sweetest kids i know...

Or China? Teaching english, the ascent of mount Huashan, feeling as high as the sky, seeing the hanging monastery of Datong, or the great 17m Buddhas in the Yungang Grottoes

Or simply being alive? being able to move and dance and breathe every day? Yes. Probably that. Moving and breathing and living.

Teach, Learn, Share

I dance. I'd love to teach you dance.

I've done advanced research projects in the domain of longevity and health lifestyles. I'm happy to share any of this knowledge. I can give teaching english my best try, i've worked as a volunteer english teacher in China.

I'd really love to learn cooking skills, and improve my german, and i like learning interesting facts in all domains.
