About Me

I'm a person interested in learning about everything, I'm very curious and I think everyone has something to teach. I like science and technology in every aspect of it, but I also love people (mostly).

I also like music very much, and I used to play a few instruments, specially guitar (sadly, in last years I've lost a lot of practice...).

I'm a bit shy, but not antisocial, you can talk to me! I like smart talking, meeting interesting people, learning, my engineering, economics, social justice... And these other things you can read below.

My slogan is "Sapere aude". It means "dare to know" in latin. It's known as the Enlightenment slogan, and it summarizes my world vision, both in a meaning of "curiosity" and also "skepticism".

I'm very open minded in pretty much everything.

I work on my own company focused on laser and milling CNC machines.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this is one of the best examples of the Internet Revolution, and an amazing idea.

I'm here for opening my mind and learn. From places, from people.

2021 update: This has changed a lot. But the philosophy can be still there.

Interests

I like music, technology in general (computers, electronics, robots...), 3D printers and CNCs, traveling, meeting interesting people, learning from anyone passionate, helping people, reading, trying things, exotic beers, tea, science, math, divulgation, teaching others, how the human mind works, LucasArts videogames and Rubik's cubes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Life Is Beautiful, Amanece que no es poco, Monty Python (all), Jeux d'enfants, Primer, The Butterfly Effect, Arrival, The Big Short and some more. I'm not a film expert, my culture in that topic is limitated, but I'd like to know more.

Music: Any that I haven't listen already. Now I have not much time to search for new music, so I use to let Bandcamp/Spotify discover me something unknown. Some specific genders I listen... Celtic folk music, electro-swing, minimalism, prog-rock, electronic ambient, RPG videogames OST.

Books: I like to read science fiction, essays, fantasy, mystery, philosophy, social stuff in general, anything about technology and science...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I crossed France and Belgium by hitch-hiking and back again. I built a 3D printer in my house reading on the Internet, with friends, on a summer; that event would let me work for some years till now.
I competed at International Robot Sumo Tournament 2016 Grand Final in Tokyo, Japan.
I started my own company at the end of 2015 and we've grown quite a bit since then, I'm proud of it (14 employees as of 2021).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some electronics and Arduino programming, 3D CAD modeling, talk about my engineering studies (Telecommunications stuff), how to resolve a Rubik's cube, some japanese 101, and I can show my town.

I'd like to learn... Cooking with new ingredients. And dancing. For example, idk. But I'm open to anything I didn't already know.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My willing to help on home duties, my knowledge in some things like technology, my listening to stories, my stories, my willing to debating about everything...
