About Me

Hi!

Occupationally I'm a uni student in my final years of a civil engineering degree.

I'm chilled out, open minded.

I love meeting people with a passion for travel and new experience and want to help them make it happen.

A couple of important things to me:

1) Doing as much travel as possible - learning lots about the world, meeting good people etc
2) Living ethically
I think it is important to and try to live an ethical life. But what is an ethical life? A good question.

Things you should know:
- I go to bed early and get up early
- I'm not a massive party person - you won't find me pinging on ecstasy at festivals. But always up for a casual beer or two
- I'm not interested in hosting people who just want a place to crash, with no cultural exchange

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to connect with likeminded people, share experiences and exchange culture. I want to see and show people awesome places that they might not necessarily see otherwise. Local knowledge rocks. Couchsurfers are generally awesome and the kind of people I like to hang out with.

Interests

1) Reading lots of non fiction
(currently: psychology, evolutionary science, rationalism, sociology, economics etc)
2) Surfing!
I try to surf every morning so if you are keen on surfing, we could definitely go to some cool places. Being out in the water is ALWAYS good.
3) Frugal living
I believe that once you have a basic level of material wealth, further increases in wealth will bring little happiness. So why spend money on it? Live minimally
4) Altruism
I think the most worthy work to strive towards is the alleviation of unnecessary suffering by humans in the world. I want to make this a career, and I'm interested in finding the most effective way to have an impact
5) Hiking and Camping
Trying to do some local camping trips in south NSW this year
