Über mich
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world while it's still there.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in a rural area near the German alps and never really got out much, until I decided to change that and moved to the US in 2012. I've been living in Seattle since then. I recently quit my day job and I'm now ready to embark on a two year weekend!
I love everything outdoors, especially biking, but I'm also always down for playing video games on the couch all day.
I think I am summed up pretty well by this video of me driving down a mountain in a toy car:

PHILOSOPHY
I think there should be Karma in the world (and maybe there is?) and try to act as if there were.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My friends tell me I am a pleasant person to be around and I'm definitely a low-maintenance surfer. Also, I cook a pretty great lasagna and will offer my couch as soon as I'm back home.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
I'm a huge fan of pop culture and like anything from stop-motion films to romantic comedies to Vin Diesel flicks.
I try to be open minded about genres of music, but I seem to keep getting stuck at mainstreamish Hiphop, Metal and Electronica - but Alestorm is always awesome. However, I usually get tunes stuck in my head and have to listen to them until they come out again, so the best way to find out what I currently like is to have a look at my last.fm charts:

If I had to take just one book to a lonely island, it would certainly be the Hitchhiker's Guide and generally, I often stick with the Neal Stephensons, Douglas Adams' and Dan Simmons', but the occasional Bukowski, Rowling and Pullman are fine and I am always open for new things.
