About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling, and hosting (when I can). I had some great experiences with informal couch surfing when I backpacked through South America, and think it's a great way to meet people and see new places.

Music, Movies, and Books
My guilty music pleasure is cheesy pop music, though I enjoy most anything apart from rap. You’ll almost always find me singing with the windows down whenever I’m in the car.
I missed out on all the major TV shows and movies the past couple years, living abroad without access to Hulu and such. So I can’t talk to you about the Walking Dead or Stranger things—sorry! While movies are nice once in a while, I’d prefer to be outside nine times out of ten!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After grad school, I quit my nonprofit job to move to Peru and run an educational exchange NGO. During the rainy season in Peru, I left Arequipa and went on a backpacking adventure that led me to swim with pink dolphins in the Amazon river, hike to Machu Picchu, road-tripp through the Chilean desert, hike in Patagonia, and explore the Bolivian salt flats. It was incredible to say the least.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak multiple languages, which I'm always happy to share. I can teach you how to cook soul food, how to code, or simply share some really cool stories! I would love to learn how to make local dishes (can you tell I’m a foodie?), share stories, and learn about my host’s favorite hidden gems in their cities. I’m quite adventurous, and I would be excited if a host wanted to join me on various activities during my trip.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a plethora of exciting travel stories and good old southern hospitality! I would also love to cook some southern food for you (or cook together), and I can definitely teach you some English (I used to be an ESL teacher) if you like.
