Hi everyone!

Forgive me if my About Me is a bit wanting, explaining yourself is always a bit hard :)

I am a 26 year old girl from the US (if you didn't already get that from above :P), and right now traveling for a year with my other half, Shane! We started on the road in June 2015 and will continue until June 2016. That's the plan at least!

We are quite new to couchsurfing, but with that said we have been doing work away-type projects through HelpX all over Europe! That means that we spend our time touristing for a week or two, and then volunteering and living with a family in whatever country we are headed to. So we aren't strangers to incorporating ourselves into others' lives :)

I'm a bit of an extroverted introvert, but that just means I love people and doing things yet need a bit of time to re-charge. That is sometimes hard to do when you are always on the move!

As far as passions, I love good beer, I love to cook and learn about cooking, gardening and growing things in general, I love to read, and I enjoy dabbling in the arts such as drawing or painting. I also LOVE animals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Wherever I go, I always want to live like the local. It seems the best way to do that is to learn from a local :) I'm interested a cultural exchange with good conversation. With that being said, however much time a host wants to devote to us is ok. If you really don't have time to hang out and show us around, that is ok :) BUT, if you want to take us around, show us all the sights and all the bars and all the museums, that would be ok too.

Books: Sherlock Holmes, The Name of the Wind, Atlas Shrugged, a lot of fantasy in general!

Music: I can honestly say that I enjoy almost all music. I like folk a lot right now, I like jazz, I like electronica, I like techno, I like grunge rock and 70s Rock. I like a lot of things!

If you want, I can cook you a good meal! I can share good travel stories, good conversation, a pint of beer, travel tips, and I'm sure many other things that aren't coming to mind. I am good at listening as well :)
